FM40 Style - Where has our Summer Gone

Parka, Mango / T-Shirt, J.Crew / Jeans, Zara / Shoes, R&B / Bag, LV

Our summer looks like it has disappeared overnight in the NW of England. All day Saturday it rained and I had to reach for a large umbrella and my Mango parka.

My parka has been a very useful purchase and looking at new items arriving on Net a Porter the parka is still that essential coat, to have. I am sure most fashionista's will be purchasing the new Isabel Marant Etoile parka below,

Or Current/Elliott's

Let's see what is more affordable? I am not going to stray from Mango as they have 3 good options, with 2 being in the sale.

Did you need a rain coat or parka over the weekend? If not come September a coat like this will be ideal for the School run.

As ever thank you for reading,

Annmarie xx

  1. You can't beat a great parka as a wardrobe staple can you Annmarie & those ones from Mango look fab. I've got one from Zara that is years old but does the job perfectly so had better not get tempted by another this season!

    1. I never wore one to school, I had to wear a uniform Navy duffle coat....so I stay well clear from duffle coats!

  6. I love parka's!! Both of mine are from Topshop, I've got a summer weight and a winter one with furry hood which I can't wait to get out and wear again! We've been lucky here, even though it's rained it's been too warm to wear a coat!! xx

    1. I need the umbrella and coat Saturday morning but just the umbrella thankfully in the afternoon as it warmed up a lot. I only have my light weight one, I have struggled to find a winter one as they are all heavy the ones I tried and I don't like heavy coats.

  7. Luckily I don't like the expensive ones, I always prefer the classic styles. I haven't needed a coat yet, whenever it's rained I haven't been going out anyway, I don't get out much with working from home anyway! x

    1. I don't think you need to buy designer for a parka as the likes of Mango and Zara do great ones. x

  8. Oh definitely. I have a summer one and a winter one. Both khaki and both unfortunately not waterproof. So for those days, I revert to a good old Sprayway walking jacket - practical and dry. When it rains - all fashion sense goes out of the window for me!

And I love that first Marant one. Swoon.
