FM40 Style - Leopard Coats Anybody?

I am a fan of leopard, but mainly in accessories; shoes, clutches, belts and of course you can't beat a leopard scarf.

However, running through M&S on Saturday I spotted this statement leopard coat,

I love it but, I am not sure if I could carry it off...... afraid of looking like Bet Lynch. Once home I checked it out online (as I literally ran past it, one crying child in the pram the other moaning his feet were tired from walking around boring shops - which was only New Look to pick up my shoe order, Clarks for his school pumps and M&S food hall - not exactly a major shopping day but, then again he does take after his Daddy ....)  I then went onto look at images on Pinterest of Leopard coats and guess..........no images of Miss Lynch but, just gorgeous bloggers looking fabulous in their Leopard coats.

My favourite look is below, simple and classy with the black ballet pumps and the Celine Tote.

Are you brave enough to wear a leopard coat?

What are your thoughts on the M&S leopard coat?

Thank you for reading, hopefully later this week I will be posting my A/W wish list and I have already had huge disappointment with one item being SOLD OUT.........it's only the 2nd of September!!!

  • I have updated my side bar of Things I Love with some A/W beauty buys I plan to make, further to my last beauty post and my quest to find a new moisturiser,  I think I am going to try the REN moisturiser as I am impressed with their serum I have been recently using.

  1. I bought a similar leopard coat in TKMaxx last year and now it is on its way to Oxfam. This is only partly down to an increasing desire to fade into the background as I get older. The coat was too short, so on cold days that demand something furry to keep warm ... the bumfreezer aspect put me off. All these ones are long enough … and have snuggly collars too (unlike the collarless TopShop version another blogger has shown). I hope you get it and love it.

    1. Bumfreezer..... Funny. I don't know if it's me, but I love it . Yes I too like a snuggly collar on a coat. It is so much nicer in the flesh than the picture on their website. X

  2. Mango has a leopard coat that looks great, trying to decide if I should order! Is it the Omega serum from Ren? I've been using that and like it too.

  5. I've got a YMC leopard parka that I wear a lot, but it's much easier to carry off because of the causal style. I'd find it harder to wear a more structured one. Not so keen on the M&S one, but Mango have a nice one.

    1. Yes somebody else has recommended the Mango one. The M&S one is a lot nicer in the flesh, the photo as normal with M&S doesn't do it full justice. Off to look at Mango....

  7. I love my leopard print coat, got it in fenn wright and mason a while ago now. must admit tend to wear it with mainly black as the coat speaks for itself. The Nuxe dry oil is worth every penny, lovely oil and keeps skin so soft

    1. Yes, that is the look I like with the black. Great to hear about your recommendation about the Nuxe oil, heard very good things and that's why I need it! xx

  8. I've got one from a few seasons ago but it's more of a belted trench shape. Not sure if it might look a little Bet Lynch. Love the M &S one x

  12. I got last yrs M&S leopard coat and am so glad I did its so snugly and versatile

  13. I love it and I think it would look fabulous on you, I think you should go for it. For me it would be too much, I can do leopard accessories and I have a leopard top that I love, but I am such a fickle thing and would probably get bored of it on a coat!

  14. I actually tried that on yesterday on my first day off when the boys went back to school - I couldn't resist a runaround. It looks nicer in the flesh than on the picture but did me few favours on - it's something about the dropped shoulders - makes me look all big and poofy. So yes, I think I am brave enough this year and I have thought about them a number of times over the years. Maybe this year might be the year!
