FM40 Lifestyle - Perfect Autumn Family Sundays

On a crisp autumn sunny Sunday we love nothing more than wrapping up and going for a walk along the Leeds/Liverpool Canal in the West Lancashire countryside.

Waving to the barges as they pass us and admiring the winter berries, knowing the festive season (I love Christmas) is not far-off.

Hubby is keen on his shooting, so of course N wants to be like his daddy with his toy rifle (a good aim don't you think?)

Then of course to reward our walk ...... drinks at the pub and sometimes a bite to eat if Hubby isn't doing his tasty roast.

My favourite corner in the pub,

Autumn/winter Sundays are to me, wrapping up in our coats, scarves and wellies, red wine, good comfort food, scented candles and of course Downton Abbey! Here are just a few essentials I have, recommend (BURT's BEES LIP BALM £3.49) and would love for Sunday walks.

How do you like to spend your Sundays?

  2. That's my idea of heaven and many of our Sunday's are like this. We had a bike ride to the Mersey today and then a couple of drinks in our favourite pub overlooking the river. Heaven! Lynne x

    1. Looking forward to our two both riding bikes, so we can go on a family bike ride! May keep the weight off better than walking....

  4. Lovely Sunday! Very similar to ours - usually a bike ride en famille, pub or roast at home, or a walk by the sea!

  5. Lovely photos AnnMarie and it looks like you had a gorgeous day. I'd love to spend more of our Sundays like that but just recently, it's become a cooking Sunday for my oldest boy and his dad. Both are little foodies and Ben likes nothing better than to sit there in the evenings with his dad salivating over cookery programmes and then deciding that they are going to make something they've seen. Current favourite chef seems to be Tom Kerridge!
