FM40 Style - Stripe Top Obsession

Mac, Burberry / Top, Boden / Jeans, Zara / Shoes, R&B

I have been doing the school run for a couple of weeks now and my saviour fashion wise has been the Breton striped top........ I am sure the other mums must think, where is my bike and onions. The mama uniform staple can be found almost in every shop, I have cheap ones and more pricey ones, such as my Petit Bateau (worth the money, quality is amazing) contrast Breton. I am however, always on the look out to add to my collection and the ones that are a bit different catch my eye these days.

1. The Zip Detail - J.CREW ZIPPED STRIPED TOP £50

(Size 15-16yr about a size 10 - Size 16yr about a size 12)

Another school staple for me has been the shirt, so my next post is all about shirts.

Thank you for reading and your comments.

  4. It doesn't seem right that 16 year old girlswear is the same as size 12...anyway,great picks, such a useful type of top.

    1. I know, but trust me I have ordered both sizes in the past and that is the size comparison. Great for the money. x

  5. I tried on the petit bateau one recently and if I hadn't already bought a lot if AW things I would have brought it home. It's kind of pleated at the back. I like that detail.

    1. it is my favourite that one and I do hope to get it maybe next month. I spotted it on Alex from the Frugality and sort of fell in love with it.

  6. I ordered the Johnnie B Jessica but the sleeves were very long (so it all looked a bit big and boxy) and I was too stingy to pay to have them taken up so back it went! Am being very slow and cautious with A/W purchases and luckily the weather seems to be on my side. However, must say I am super tempted by the Petit Bateau as I agree their quality is second to none. I love your blog, by the way – it's one of my absolute favourites. Annabel

    1. Thank you Annabel. I must admit the Petit Bateau one is my favourite and I am slightly tempted myself. I have ordered the Johnnie B ones in the past but have been lucky that the sleeves have been 3/4. I was quite slow myself with A/W purchases, but have gathered some speed up this last week or 2 ......

  7. I'm obsessed with them as well, to the point where I can now admit I have far too many! I do wear them every week on the school run though and I love them with a trench!
