FM40 Style - Christmas LBD's

Going anywhere special over the festive period? Not got anything to wear? The Little black dress or the LBD is always a safe option I think.

My favourite 4 are below.

I normally team my little black dress with red nails. However, if I was lucky enough to bag these Dune Manolo Blahnik "look a like" shoes, bright pink nails it would be.

Have you noticed that one of my favourites is not a dress, but a jumpsuit. I am not normally a fan of the jumpsuit (as I know I wouldn't suit most of them) this Whistles one, I love and I feel it would be flattering for a short big busted girl like myself ....... the wrap front, the ankle length legs, the gorgeous Frances of Schoolrunstyle can be seen here trying it on.

Do you need a LBD for an event over Christmas or New Year? Or do you have an old faithful you can fall back on?

    1. Doesn't it I could believe it was Oasis, I thought it would be Whistles when I first saw it. X

  2. Some gorgeous outfits here Annemarie, I just love the feather detailing on the Oasis dress.
I'm loving hot pink as an alternative to red nails this season too!

  4. Frances looks amazing in the lace jumpsuit but I could see you in it too - it's classy - your style! Unfortunately or fortunately, I have no where glam to go so I can't indulge in anything as lovely as your picks. Oh well .. pennies saved.

    1. Frances does look amazing in it (she would look amazing in a bin bag!!) I would love to try the jumpsuit, but I have no justification either to purchase it, no black tie do this year for us. I have a ladies lunch (new one to me....) and I night out with our friends, which I think the M&S dotty wit blog number will get another outing Sue. X

  6. Realised I'd repeated myself in an earlier comment so deleted it! Here goes again...I agree with others, that lace jumpsuit does suit your style - put it on your January sales list! The M&S spotty dress is gorgeous, I remember seeing it but missed out on buying it! I have given up on novelty xmas jumpers - Warehouse sequin robin one I ordered on Black Friday is pretty but a bit blah - didn't love it - something to do with the quality (looks like it'll go shapeless after a wash) and to be honest, it would only get worn on one day! So I decided to spend the money (and a bit extra) on a berry coloured roll neck jumper from Baujken, similar to the Boden off duty - I could wear with skinny charcoal jeans and flats - and at least I'd get to wear it again! Or the black and white Star jumper from Hush is under consideration! Btw Baujken wine poncho is giong back - way, way too big - and no small size left.

    1. Caroll I think you have made the right decision with the Baujken roll neck (gorgeous colour, perfect with the boden t-bar flats?) Love, love the Hush star jumper. I will keep my eye on the jumpsuit if it gets reduced further. x
