FM40 Style - Things I am Coveting For My Weekend Wardrobe

This was me from the last day of the Easter Holidays in my relaxed attire, my mama uniform.

After being in nearly a full week in work this week, well 4 days (I have been on my annual training course) with my hair pull back in a French roll, full make up on and my finest polyester uniform, I am desperate to get home and tomorrow put on my relaxed outfit of jeans, breton tee and Superga trainers. After my success of the Superga, I am coveting a pair of converse in plain white I think, classic and sort of safe, which sort of sums me up really. What other things would I like to add to my relaxed wardrobe.

I am patiently waiting for this to arrive, perfect for weekend wear and I am looking forward to styling it with a pretty lace dresses.
I have recently had a little clear out of my bretons and a few old ones have hit the charity bag, so I would like to replace them with the iconic Petit Bateau ones.
Dream next bag purchase.
Cannot beat the classics.
Happy weekend everybody.

  2. Oh you are good culling your old Bretons. I'd be putting them in the sleep attire pile but I've got to learn not to do things like that because I actually have a rather hefty sleep attire pile :o/ ... and I may have stocked up on a few more just recently. They just work and I naturally reach for them.

Be nice to see what you think of the Hush jacket. It looks like the kind of throw on jacket I need for the cooler mornings.

    1. Some cheaper ones had little holes in where my jeans rub, must do a messy tuck more. Can't wait for the Hush jacket arrival. X

  3. Perfect weekend kit . The hush jacket is worth waiting for - so useful and had lots of compliments already. Thankyou for your tips on Barcelona - we used some of them on our trip last week . Fab city to visit with children .

  4. Pretty much exactly what I wear every weekend! I've got that Hush jacket and absolutely LOVE it- it's soft, slightly stretchy, very comfortable.

  5. I don't think that you can go wrong with Converse. In Madrid last weekend, it seemed the go-to footwear of the locals. Oh by the way, you were spot on with the weather, and my packing a co-ordinated wardrobe worked really well, saving valuable suitcase space and weight. I Intsagrammed my clothes that I'd take, and got a lot of "likes"

    1. Super, I find this is the best thing to do for packing for holidays, after learning the hard way making lots of mistakes over the years. Love Madrid. X

  6. Chanel WOC.....one day!!!!
Love white converse...last year I had the completely plain ones with no red and blue bands on the side and I loved them. Might drag them out of the shoe basket and give them a quick spin in the washing machine!
Looking forward to seeing the Hush jacket when it arrives.
    Have a good weekend,

    1. I have just replied to Lynne and said I tried one on in Barcelona to check my size and the quality is amazing. I have a contrast stripe one (the one I am wearing above) but the classics are on my wish list. X

  9. Are the Petit Bateau Bretons quite thick? I am after thinner one - find them easier to wear under fitted jackets. Am going to try Jigsaw, Me&Em and Gap. Re your Superga, I am fancying white trainers for summer but cannot be doing with Stan Smiths or Adidas style trainers (I feel too stumpy and clumpy in them!) - would you recommend Converse over Superga?
