FM40 STYLE | STILL IN LOVE WITH THE IDEA

Image Via Mija Flatau

As you know my grey long cardigan attempt this season sadly didn't work out, but I am still in love the the whole look of throwing a grey cardigan over a T-shirt and jeans. Do I save and splash out next winter on a Acne Raya or do I go for a mohair more affordable look-a-like from andOtherstories (here) now ..........

  1. Hmmm...It depends. I say it's best to buy cheaper if it's something you won't get a lot of wear out of. So it might be worth trying the OtherStories one? I personally don't like mohair though - it is prickly and sheds - and I now stay away from any wool knits that are not merino or cashmere - or a blend of merino and cashmere. Everything else pills easily especially if it's a mix of fabrics. After the disaster that was the Hush cardi last Autumn I read up on it - the tighter the weave, the less likely it is to pill. Which is why merino is top of my knit list! Having said that, a cotton knit would be fine too - but perhaps still too cold right now.

    1. I don't mind mohair ... not next to my skin, but as a cardigan layered over something I think I would be OK. Merino wool is my favourite too, thats why I love the J Crew tippi sweaters Carol. x
