I have teamed up again with one of my favourites The White Company to bring you my picks from their spring collection. I alway harp on about having good quality basics in your wardrobe that give you both versatility and longevity and The White Company's spring collection is a collection full of beautiful neutral colours, with a touch of luxury and attention to detail that will give you both.

What did I choose? Firstly, I choose the Linton Tweed Jacket it was an instant pick for me especially as I have recently been singing the merits of the little tweed jacket.

A little tweed jacket is such a versatile spring jacket, wear it with work dresses and black tailored trousers for a chic corporate look or wear it with denim and a simple t-shirt for a cool off-duty look.

I have quoted this before from Karl Lagerfield "Somethings never go out of fashion, jeans, a white shirt and a little tweed jacket" and it's so very true.

The Linton tweed jacket is made from Linton tweed, a heritage British fabric manufacturer used by the finest international designer labels and Couture houses. This edge-to-edge jacket comes in a straight, boxy fit, with added fringed details along the opening, on the cuffs and at the top of the two patch pockets, lending it a contemporary feel that's equally at home over a pretty tea dress for a spring wedding as it is over a white t-shirt and jeans.

The second item I picked was their cotton v-neck t-shirt in of course, white. A white t-shirt is something I can't live without come spring and summer, layered under blazers or simply on its own when the sun arrives. This one is speciality spun to create that "slub" texture I love in t-shirts. I personally like a v-neck t-shirt, but they also do a nice crew neck version, here and in a full range of the White Company neutral colours. I am really impressed with the t-shirt the v-neck is not too low and the texture of the cotton is lovely, not too clingy and of course the quality is second to none.

Let's face it, we still need knitwear for our spring weather, either worn on its own on a nice day or layered under a trench. The day I was contacted by The White Company I had just actually been trying on and lusting after a few pieces in their Liverpool store including this jumper ....

It was the back detail that I was drawn too and I thought it would be perfect with jeans and white trainers or worn smarter with black cigarette cropped pants and a pair heels.

The V-shaped back with the grosgrain ribbon makes this jumper quite special. It's that attention to detail I was talking about with The White Company, the grosgrain ribbon not only looks good, but makes the jumper sit secure and perfectly on your shoulders. I took a size 12 in both the t-shirt (don't like my tees too tight) and jacket, however, I sized down to a 10 in the jumper.

As well as this really nice jumper I love this tie back one too, very Sezane!
