S C H O O L  U N I F O R M

Can you believe another school year is over? 5 weeks until my two break up for summer and what a fabulous first year they have had at their new school.

I have also learnt a few lessons about school uniform myself this past year and I would like to pass on my wisdom to any mums who may have children starting school this September.

Buy early and take advantage of Marks & Spencer early bird offer of 20% off school uniform they now have on in store and online.

What pieces of Marks & Spencer uniform do I recommend;

Their easy care non iron shirts are fabulous, they wash really well. I find they do need a little iron (very minimal) but if you get them out of the dryer quickly they need no ironing at all. They also have the added bonus of a velcro top button which are great for PE changes at school. However, my son is gutted because the velcro fastening only go up age 8 so, no velcro next year for him. You can get them in short or long sleeve and either silm fit of regular fit. My son likes the silm fit

Another repeat buy for me will be unisex cotton rich jumper this jumper really washed well, it has kept it's shape with no signs of bobbling, unlike the one I purchased from my son's school uniform shop. Also, my son preferred the Marks & Spencer jumper as it was more comfortable and softer .... his words.

Last year I purchased L's school skirt from the school uniform shop and it was a pain ironing the box pleats back in every Sunday night. I noticed a few mums with older girls had a different navy box pleated skirt that looked better quality and on investigation they were from Marks & Spencer. The beauty about the Marks & Spencer pleated skirt is that the pleats are permanent. Happy days no ironing pleats back in on a Sunday night with a wet cloth. I have already stocked up on two of these for L for September.

I always bulk buy these socks for the summer term as I love the white cotton broidery anglaise frill and Marks and Spencer navy knee high socks are the best, they don't fall down and the added scalloping on the top is a nice detail.

You can shop Marks and Spencer's full school uniform range here with the 20% discount here.

P.S I always buy N underpants from M&S he likes these, but have you seen this cute range for girls, the colours are lovely.... see for yourself here.
