FM40 STYLE | MY AUTUMN/WINTER 2018 WISH LIST

Well I have had a few messages about when and if I was going to publish my Autumn/Winter Wish List .... so here it is! It is always lovely to hear from you about what you like on my blog.

Some items have been on the list since last year that I never got to purchase due to financial restraints ..... those of you will remember the pink Bella Freud cashmere jumper appeared on my A/W wish list last year and I thought my A/W wardrobe needed some colour and pale pink is according to the fashion editors one of the colours for the season ahead. I have to admit it is already hanging in my wardrobe thanks to a nice £100 off Matchesfashion voucher I had. When I spend big on an item I need to know I will get my wear out of it. This jumper can be worn with jeans and trainers, jeans and heels boots when I want to look a little more put together and totally dressed up on the rare occasions when I go out with a statement skirt or classic black cigarette pants.

Continuing with the pink theme the Harris Wharf London pink cocoon coat is high on my wish list ....  all their coats look amazing. I need a coat that works with my uniform of trainers and jeans and can also be worn with smarter outfits. Also, a colour that will go with the neutral colours in my capsule wardrobe, whites, grey, navy and black.

Animal print is definitely the print of A/W and it is everywhere on Instagram and is a print I actually do and like. I know there are lots of animal print on the high street and as this is my #wishlist the skirt I would absolutely adore is the Rixo Leopard Georgia Skirt  and I must not be alone as it has already sold out. Fingers crossed I will have saved enough for it when it hopefully comes back into stock. Some other leopard skirts that are more affordable I have spotted are, this nice one from Sosandarthis one and finally this one.

I have quite a few pretty blouses (as you know) and shirts that can all be worn in the cooler months with a nice little cardigan and the Barry cardigan from Sezane is my cardigan of choice. The beauty of this cardigan is that it can be worn as a knit alone ... either with the V at the back or front .... 3 knits in one.  I haven't quite decided if I am going for the grey or black ....  the pale blue is also divine. I would also like this white blouse to wear with the cardigan..... can't resist.

Boots ..... a new pair of boots I think will be on everyones A/W wishlist and the style you go for I suppose depends on your own personal style. I have the boho boots (I think I will get one more winter out of my Dickers thanks to the nice traditional cobbler who repaired them with new leather soles after Timpson's butchered them ..... FM40 TIP : never take expensive shoes to Timpson's research an old fashioned traditional cobbler in your area).
I already have the very in fashion 70 style heeled knee high boots ..... two pair in fact, a tan pair from Russell & Bromley and a dark brown Ralph Lauren pair I purchased in New York many moons ago that will work with dresses and skirts. I have always refrained from selling them as this type of boot always comes back into fashion and aren't I happy I didn't in some of my eBay selling frenzies.
However, the style of boot I am missing is the heeled ankle boot like Anine Bing Stevie boots ..... I will look to the high street and I have found a couple of good good options these, these and these

Black jeans a winter staple .... I recently tried these on in Zara and love them.  They are mid waist ....... being short I find Zara high waist jeans come far too high (just under my boobs) these are perfect not too high, but high enough if that makes sense.

The final item will be such a splurge ....... I have tried the copies, but sometimes only the real thing will do! I have always been a shoe girl and I recently had a little writing commission about my recommendations for schools shoes so I thought I would put my earnings to buying the shoes of my dreams ..... Chanel here I come!
